The ONSET Lab, based at the Centre de recherche du centre hospitalier de l’Université de Montréal (CRCHUM), is seeking a PhD student or postdoctoral fellow to join a collaborative and multidisciplinary team.
The ONSET Lab is dedicated to understanding epileptic brain networks through the study of structural and functional connectivity, and to developing novel tools to improve surgical treatment of epilepsy. The lab is led by Dr. Sami Obaid, an epilepsy neurosurgeon and clinician-scientist, whose research bridges cutting-edge neuroimaging and surgical practice.
The selected candidate will lead a project in epilepsy electrophysiology, working with human intracranial recordings and collaborating closely with clinicians, data scientists, and neuroscientists. This position offers the opportunity to contribute directly to the development of clinical applications in epilepsy surgery.
📍 Location: CRCHUM, Montreal
📅 Start date: Flexible
🎓 Candidate profile: Background in neuroscience, biomedical engineering, applied mathematics, physics, or a related field. Interest in epilepsy, brain networks, or neural signal processing is essential.
